Channel 4 and Coca-Cola have teamed up to bring you the best action from around the world of women’s football…
Participation numbers are up, the supporter base is growing, and leagues are turning professional – women’s football is definitely on the rise. But still there isn’t one place for fans to watch the best action from around the world – until now.
We’re thrilled to announce that Channel 4, in partnership with Coca-Cola, is launching new show Women’s Football World that will do exactly that! Hosted by BAFTA award-winning journalist and broadcaster Clare Balding, Women’s Football World is a world-first weekly roundup of all the drama from England’s Women’s Super League, as well as top flight action from leagues in France, Germany, Italy, USA, and the women’s UEFA Champions League.
Each week, Clare will be joined by a professional footballer to provide expert analysis and opinion on the week’s key talking points and topical issues – but that’s not all they’ll be discussing. Clare will also be speaking with her guests about what they do outside of the sport, to give Women’s Football World viewers a rare glimpse into the real life of a professional footballer.
Women’s Football World will be shot on location at a different women’s football club, stadium or training ground each week. And, in addition to the weekly show, Channel 4 will be offering a range of other women’s football content on All4 and across its social and digital platforms – including short films led by freestyle footballer and influencer, Liv Cooke.
