We might still be a few sleeps away from the big day, but here at Coca-Cola Great Britain it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

That’s because our iconic Holidays Are Coming campaign is back and bigger than ever before. We’ve already announced our eagerly anticipated Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour stops, and now bring you our equally iconic Holidays Are Coming advert, which hits airwaves today. It features the same great, nostalgic music and visuals you know and love, but with a few extra magical scenes added to the original. Take a look…

Deck the halls, buses and Piccadilly Square

This year we’re bringing our much-loved Christmas advert to not only TV screens, but the streets of the UK too in what will be a truly unique and immersive Coca-Cola experience.

The 2019 campaign is set to be our biggest yet, with the Holidays are Coming advert taking over digital screens and spaces across the UK, including major train stations. London buses will be decked out in Holidays Are Coming lights and feature a light-bending Santa (keep your eyes peeled). But that’s just the tip of our Christmas takeover...

Christmas lights and karaoke

How do you top last years’ Christmas extravaganza? You add more sparkle, of course. And where better to achieve that than London’s iconic Piccadilly Lights?

Throughout November and December, we’ve planned a number of Piccadilly Lights takeovers to host surprise Christmas karaoke moments for London’s Christmas shoppers. Fans and visitors will be able to enjoy a festive sing-along to some of our favourite Christmas songs together. Better still, we’re bringing a choir along to help you hit those high notes.

Get festive with Snapchat and Waze

This year we’ve partnered with Snapchat to launch a Coca-Cola Christmas lens to help you get in the festive spirit. And that’s not all: we’re also announcing a Christmas-themed partnership with navigation app, Waze.

This will see cars on the app transformed into sleighs for the festive season, and the voice of Santa himself available to guide you. Saint Nick will help navigate you to your destination – and the closest place to purchase your favourite Coca-Cola beverage. It’s sure to add an extra sprinkling of magic to the daily commute and will surprise and delight kids, and kids at heart.

Christmas in a bottle

Good news! Our limited-edition Coca-Cola zero sugar Cinnamon is back, which means you can once again enjoy the refreshing taste of Coca-Cola with a festive twist.

Keep an eye out for Coca-Cola zero sugar Cinnamon.

In fact, this year, you can savour the taste and smell of our seasonal flavour. Fans can head to Oxford Circus station for a trip like no other; the entire station will become cinnamon-scented, reminding commuters of Christmas from the moment you step inside.

For those who want more of the sweet and spicy cinnamon aroma, there’s always Winterland. Coca-Cola is teaming up with London’s Christmas destination to create a cinnamon inspired igloo experience, bookable for a limited time to enjoy on the 9th December.

While it’s hard to outshine our Cinnamon flavour, this year we decided to up the ante and introduce another festive flavour: Diet Coke Clementine. With its refreshing citrus twist, our limited edition flavour is guaranteed to get you in the holiday spirit.

Christmas is coming!

Kris Robben’s, Marketing Director at Coca-Cola Great Britain and Ireland, says that for fans up and down the country, the iconic Coca-Cola Holidays Are Coming TV advert signals the start of the festive season:

“This year, we’ve taken the iconic and much-loved campaign and made it the biggest yet by bringing back the elements people love and adding new partnerships, activity and special moments to bring it to life in even more ways that we hope our existing fans and new ones will love.”

Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour

It’s back! The iconic Coca-Cola Truck Tour has once again returned, with this year promising to be our biggest yet. We’ve added new stops to the route, which means that our festive truck will now be visiting 19 locations across the country. This will allow even more fans to experience the magic of Christmas while sampling their favourite Coca-Cola drink.

What’s more, to spread the Christmas spirit even further, we’ve partnered with Crisis, the national homelessness charity, and will donate 10p for every can sampled and recycled throughout the truck tour.

Magical reunions with the stars

Part of the magic of Christmas is that it can bring people together. It’s something we know a bit about at Coca-Cola, which is why we wanted to connect those who can’t be together during the holiday season.

This Christmas we’ll be helping reunite un-suspecting friends and families by linking them up with each other via the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck – with celebrity power couple and former pop stars, Marvin and Rochelle Humes, adding a touch of glamour and glitter to the occasion. Tis the season!

Spreading the festive spirit

Finally, this year our iconic campaign is going global, spreading the message that we have more in common than we may first think. In addition to our annual Holidays is Coming advert, we’re launching a new advert in Great Britain in December 2019, which reminds us that there is more that unites us that divides us. After all, the festive season is all about coming together and celebrating the holidays – over your favourite Coca Cola beverage, naturally.
