At Coca-Cola, we’re all about taste. Whether that’s the iconic flavour of Coca-Cola original taste, or more taste-bud-tingling exotic variants on offer across the rest of our range. But with so many new flavours hitting store shelves, we know it can be tricky to keep up.
Worry not; we’re here with a roundup of everything new in the world of Coke...
Coca-Cola zero sugar gets summer-ready
There are loads of new flavours to test out if you’re a fan of the Coca-Cola zero sugar range. We brought you Peach and Cherry, as well as our first festive limited edition Cinnamon flavour in 2018. Most recently, we’ve added Coca-Cola zero sugar Raspberry to the lineup, bringing an extra bit of zing to daring taste buds in the process.
As Ana Amura, Marketing Manager at Coca-Cola Great Britain, puts it: “We know how much our fans love new flavours and we’re really excited to add Coca-Cola zero sugar Raspberry to the line-up.
“Whether you’re a fan of Coca-Cola or looking to try a new flavour, this new addition is a refreshing, fruity twist to enjoy this summer.”
A new twist on Diet Coke
As with our zero sugar range, Diet Coke has also had a bevy of cool new flavour additions – with flavour combinations designed to help you explore some fruity alternatives without worrying about calories.
Feisty Cherry and Exotic Mango have proven to be big hits with Diet Coke drinkers, which is why we followed up with Diet Coke Twisted Strawberry. The flavour first became a fan favourite over in the US, so we brought it across the Atlantic!
At launch, Tuuli Turunen, Marketing Manager for Diet Coke said: “We know how much consumers love innovation and new flavours, so we’re really excited to add Twisted Strawberry to the Diet Coke family.”
Big Diet Coke fan? You can think of Twisted Strawberry’s unique twist on the formula as an early taste of summer.
Spreading positive vibes with Coca-Cola Energy
Innovation on Coke doesn’t end with fruity flavour infusions, as the brand new addition to the family proves – Coca-Cola Energy! Coca-Cola Energy (available with and without sugar) combines our classic taste with an extra special spark, with naturally-derived ingredients designed to complement your upbeat and busy life.
“We kept these two qualities at the heart of how we developed the recipe,” says Javier Meza, Global Chief Marketing Officer, Sparkling Business, “and are proud to offer it under the Coca-Cola brand.”
Coca-Cola Energy is available right now throughout Great Britain; have you tried it yet?
Coca-Cola goes craft with Signature Mixers
The latest addition to our Coca-Cola range is something a bit special. Coca-Cola Signature Mixers have been created to perfectly complement dark spirits, which are enjoying a real comeback in cocktail bars and homes around the world.
They’re a range of four uniquely-crafted mixers – each specifically tuned for different tastes and spirits by expert mixologists – and are the some of the boldest Coca-Cola flavours we’ve ever produced.
To denote them as being something out of the ordinary, Coca-Cola Signature Mixers will be hitting the UK in a sleek Hutchinson glass bottle – a nod to the silhouette of the first ever Coca-Cola bottle.
Here’s what each Signature Mixer has to offer:
- Coca-Cola Signature Mixers Smoky Notes, by Max Venning. An intensely aromatic blend with smoky hints, this mix brings nuanced dimension to deep, spiced rums and bold, premium whiskies. Ylang, ambrette seed and dried fruit, which inhabit the top layer, are balanced with an elegant base of warm brown spices; Peru Balsam and amber.
- Coca-Cola Signature Mixers Spicy Notes, by Adriana Chía and Pippa Guy. With a warm introduction that gives way to a fiery finish, this Signature Mixer is a sophisticated and complex blend. Citrusy lime, ginger, spicy jalapeño, fragrant rosemary and aromatic jasmine combine to create a mixer with a considered balance of zest and earthy flavours that pairs beautifully with spiced rums, aged or gold tequilas and spicy or sweet whiskies.
- Coca-Cola Signature Mixers Herbal Notes, by Antonio Naranjo. A delightfully floral, crisp and tart mix, this Signature Mixer was developed to deliver fresh and herbaceous notes for the discerning palate. Balancing refreshing notes of lemongrass with the earthy tones of dill seed and tagetes, it is an inviting mixer with a refreshing, simple profile that pairs beautifully with amber whiskies and most types of rum.
- Coca-Cola Signature Mixers Woody Notes by Alex Lawrence. Crafted from a subtle blend of earthy patchouli, citrusy yuzu and aromatic basil, this Signature Mixers has a tart, light and refreshing profile, with a hint of warmth. These elements, expertly blended, combine to elegantly enhance the mellow wood and sweet tropical flavours of golden rums and smoky to woody whiskies.
As you can see, there’s a lot going on at Coca-Cola HQ. But it’s worth remembering that the Coca-Cola Company is about so much more than just Coke.
“Our strategy is to offer people a wide range of drinks to meet different lifestyles and occasions,” says Jon Woods, General Manager, Coca-Cola Great Britain and Ireland. “We’ll continue to expand and diversify our range of products to offer British consumers a wider choice of drinks.”
That’s why we now boast over 80 drinks across 20 brands – from SmartWater to Schweppes, and AdeZ to Appletiser.
