What you need to know about GDA's

Simply, these are guidelines on how much of each of the five dietary constituents (calories, sugar, fat, saturated fat and salt) we may consume per day, making it easier to follow a healthy lifestyle. Now all you have to do is check the label!

'Minute Maid' is one of our brands and the picture below shows where the GDA information is shown on packs.

We have put the GDA tablet on the front of our packaging, so that is easy for you to read and you can tell at a glance what is in each of our drinks.

When we talk about an 'adult' we are referring to a person of healthy weight and has average activity levels. The figures that are used to show the Guideline Daily Amount are based on a woman's guidelines. Obviously men and women are different so they have different GDAs, but instead of showing two sets of figures on all packaging, we have kept things simple and just used a woman's guidelines. This way if you are a man and following GDAs you will know that you are well within your daily allowance.
