Taking the FIFA World Cup™ around the world
Coca‑Cola sponsors the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour

To celebrate the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, Coca‑Cola took the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy on a world tour, allowing fans to enjoy a rare close-up view of the biggest prize in football. The tour also commemorated Coca‑Cola's long standing relationship with football and the FIFA World Cup™, part of our commitment to encourage active, healthy lifestyles globally through partnerships and grass-roots programmes.
Did you know? Coca‑Cola first sponsored the FIFA World Cup™ tournament in 1978, the year it was held in Argentina.
Coca‑Cola first took the trophy around the world in the lead up to the 2006 FIFA World Cup™, hosted in Germany. This year's tour began its journey from the FIFA headquarters in Zurich on 21 September 2009 and will have visited 84 countries travelling 138,902 kilometres in total by the time it finishes. That's more than three times the circumference of earth.
