Coca-Cola and hit fashion label Kith have teamed up once again on a capsule collection inspired by ice-cold Coca-Cola and the classic American summer.

Pairing nostalgic Coca-Cola iconography with updated silhouettes and fabrics to create a modern yet timeless aesthetic, the latest Kith x Coca-Cola collection included a variety of men’s and women’s apparel – from hoodies, tees and shorts – plus summer accessories like swim trunks, beach towels and hats. Also included was a three-way collaboration with Converse, which sported the Kith x Coca-Cola colors on  a white denim rendition of the classic Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 sneakers in custom packaging. Other Coca-Cola and KITH branded items in the collection included socks by Stance, and a YETI Roadie 20 cooler.

This marks Coke’s second project with Ronnie Fieg, the footwear and clothing designer behind Kith. A December 2016 Kith x Coca-Cola collection sold out instantly in Kith’s New York and Miami retail stores, and Fieg approached Coke’s licensing team with the idea of doing a comprehensive summer collection.

“Ronnie is truly a fan of the brand,” said Becky Anderson, licensing manager, Coca-Cola North America. “He loves drinking Coca-Cola and appreciates the brand’s iconography and links to popular culture. For the summer collection Ronnie was inspired by the idea of the perfect summer: Ice Cold Cokes, the beach and easy days by the pool with friends and family. He came to us with a story grounded in summer pieces and Coca-Cola and Cherry Coke. We loved it!”

Evan Holod, brand director, Coca-Cola North America, adds, “When we were introduced to Ronnie, it was a no-brainer. Coca-Cola is the most iconic brand and product in the world, and Ronnie treats Coke with the same respect and reverence as we do. His passion and the respect our team developed for him and his work pushed us beyond a traditional business partnership and brought us to where we are today.”

The collection – which Fieg previewed earlier this month at a decked-out house in the Hamptons – leans into the “Share an Ice-Cold Coca-Cola” campaign’s focus on bringing family and friends together for memorable summer moments. A limited edition Coca-Cola + Kith  glass bottle was created for the launch and retail stores.

The full capsule collection went on sale on Aug. 11 in Kith stores and online at Kith.com and sold out almost immediately. A special 8-oz. Coca-Cola glass bottle featuring the Kith and Coca-Cola logos printed directly on opposite sides was given away with each purchase from the collection

The Kith collaboration continues Coke’s legacy as a pop culture icon. From the first Norman Rockwell collaboration to Andy Warhol’s famous Coke bottle paintings, the brand has served as an artistic muse for decades.

“We love partnering with people like Ronnie who have a real love and passion for Coca-Cola, who make it a part of their lives, and who live the brand like we do each and every day,” Holod said. “Every generation has its artists who take Coca-Cola and find new ways to build and co-create off if it – who bring Coca-Cola to people in ways they have never seen it before.”
