New fresh-food delivery service, Amazon Fresh, partners with Coca-Cola to offer more than 130,000 food and drinks items to online shoppers in Great Britain.

Last month saw online retailer Amazon expand its e-commerce business into grocery shopping with the launch of Amazon Fresh, a new delivery service for fresh food, frozen food and soft drinks. It’s the first time the service has been available to shoppers outside the U.S., where it originally launched.

"By teaming up with Amazon Fresh, we aim to capitalise on the growth we are seeing in online shopping, especially for groceries"

As a key partner of Amazon Fresh, we’re able to bring our wide range of drinks to thousands of online shoppers across North and East London, this includes: Schweppes, glacéau smartwater, Coca-Cola Classic and our new sugar free cola, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar.

The partnership follows 18 months of planning with Amazon and our bottler, Coca-Cola European Partners, who make and distribute our drinks, as we look to make online grocery shopping part of our long-term strategy for how we refresh fans up and down the country.

Retail of the future

The UK market for online grocery shopping is expected to nearly double in value to £17.2bn between 2015 and 2020, according to food and grocery research body IGD.

“By teaming up with Amazon Fresh, we aim to capitalise on the growth we are seeing in online shopping, especially for groceries,” says Nikki Sale, digital shopper marketing manager at Coca-Cola Great Britain.

“Amazon’s offering of same-day deliveries and strong service record allows us to offer our consumers great service and access to the products they love. It also reflects our determination to reach our consumers wherever they choose to shop.”

Amazon Fresh is available to Amazon Prime members for £6.99 a month, seven days a week. Amazon guarantees same-day delivery for orders placed by 1pm, offering a competitive advantage over other online UK supermarkets.

You can also find goods from 50 other specialist stores, including stalls at London's Borough Market, local fishmongers and high-end chocolatiers. As we grow our partnership with Amazon, even more drinks will become available over the coming months.
