Schweppes Lemonade Launches On-The-Go Format
Iconic British soft drinks brand, Schweppes, is launching a new 500ml Lemonade pack this March. The first time Britain's number one lemonade brand(i) has been available in a convenient 'take me anywhere' format.
The new pack will be launched across multiples and high street retailers nationwide and will be supported by a strategic outdoor campaign, focusing on 6 sheets in high footfall areas.
The new 500ml pack will also be supported by a national 'Try Me Free' promotion across 10 million packs of Schweppes 2 litre lemonade.
In addition, Lemonade also joins the Schweppes 'mixer family' this year, for the first time it will be available in a new 'perfect for mixing' 1 litre format with limited edition yellow mixing cap.
Cathryn Sleight, Marketing Director for Coca‑Cola GB comments:
"We are excited about the launch of the new 'take me anywhere' and 'perfect for mixing' packs of Schweppes Lemonade. We know that consumers love the taste of Schweppes Lemonade to enjoy at home, now they can enjoy it when they are out and about too. Lemonade is the second biggest mixer in the UK, so it is fitting we offer it in our new mixing size of 1 litre."

Notes to editors:
- 'Schweppes' Lemonade is Britain's sixth biggest sparkling soft drink brand and number one lemonade brand(i).
- Schweppes heritage dates back to the 1700s when Jacob Schweppe was credited with perfecting his process for manufacturing the world's first carbonated beverage, mineral water.
- In 1783, Schweppes patented his special process for carbonating water, thus J. Schweppe & Company was born. Schweppes' true stroke of genius came from his development of a bottle that could retain the carbonation. This started the soft drinks business.
- As the British Empire grew, so did Schweppes Englishmen, longing for a taste of home, brought Schweppes to distant countries and extended the brand recognition to all corners of the world. Schweppes continued its growth in the midst of two world wars. By the beginning of World War II, Schweppes Ltd. was firmly established as the leading manufacturer of soft drinks in Great Britain.
- In 1999, a new logo featuring a distinctive yellow Schweppes banner and flowing bubbles was introduced.
- Schweppes, 'Sch... you know who', the Fountain Device and the 196 Graphics are registered trade marks of Atlantic Industries.
