How Coca‑Cola is encouraging everyone to get active on the journey to London 2012
Coca‑Cola is offering a range of initiatives to help young people and families engage with a variety of different sports in the lead up to London 2012.
Whether you prefer to swim, run or cycle, Coca‑Cola is providing opportunities to lead an active, healthy lifestyle.
'Take to the Streets' with Powerade
Powerade, the official hydration partner of Team GB, has partnered with Take To The Streets to encourage people around the UK to compete in one of the Great Swim or Great Cycle event series. Powerade, which is specially formulated to ensure peak performance, will be provided to all participants as they race towards the finish line. Experts will also offer essential hydration and training advice before, during and after each event.

Let's go Sch...wimming!
Swimming has been an Olympic event since 1896, and at the 2008 event in Beijing, six of Team GB's 19 medals were won by swimmers. Coca‑Cola is encouraging budding swimmers to take a dip and families to get moving by taking a free swim. The Schweppes Abbey Well Schwim Free campaign offers free swims at participating pools all over the UK, five days a week, until 31st January, 2012.
This promotion is now closed. During the three years of the campaign between 2009 and 2012, over 175,000 Schweppes Abbey Well bottle tops were exchanged for free swims.
Coca‑Cola and StreetGames
Launched in 2007, the charity StreetGames supports and establishes local projects that deliver ‘doorstep sport’ in disadvantaged communities across England and Wales. Coca‑Cola is sponsoring StreetGames to help make sport accessible to young people, who can develop key skills such as leadership and teamwork whilst having fun and being active. From football and Frisbee to dance, swimming and table tennis, Coca‑Cola and StreetGames offer a wide range of activities around the country.
