Glacéau vitaminwater®, the original, great tasting drink from New York, is targeting the online environment in the latest instalment of its campaign as official worldwide partner and best mate of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Available via Facebook a new ‘Skip the Dip’ app will see consumers star in their own online journey to escape the dreaded daily energy ‘dip’.

Tapping into the insight that we all suffer a dip in energy through the day, the dedicated ‘Create Your Own News’ app launching this week, sees broadcaster Georgie Thompson prepping a news report and discussing the phenomenon of the ‘dip’ sweeping across Europe. Communicating the brand’s quirky and colourful personality, the user will find themselves immersed in a personalised journey as Glacéau vitaminwater® shows them how to ‘Skip the Dip’ and celebrates their success. The brand also injects its individual flavour and creativity to the activity by giving fans the opportunity to share their own personalised fun newsreel.

The ‘Skip the Dip’ campaign will be supported through digital activity including an audio partnership with Spotify as well as YouTube video content and Facebook ads to engage with the key Glacéau vitaminwater® audience. 

Elsewhere, a national experiential and sampling campaign is running until September bringing consumers a taste of Glacéau vitaminwater® across gigs, university campuses, festivals and high street stores. As part of this, consumers will be rewarded for getting through the ‘dip’ with a chilled bottle of Glacéau vitaminwater® and a gold medal featuring a QR code directing them straight to the app.
