Coca‑Cola supports active lifestyles as an Official Partner of The Football League and Scottish Premier League

Coca‑Cola has been supporting football at all levels for over 30 years - from grassroots initiatives through to the UEFA European Championships and the FIFA World Cup™.

Closer to home, Coca‑Cola is now also set to become Official Partner of The Football League and Official Partner of the Scottish Premier League (SPL) from the start of the 2010/11 season.

Coca‑Cola has been involved with the Football League since 2004, continuing to invest in and support active, healthy lifestyles at all levels of the game. In Scotland, our long standing involvement with club football will be enhanced through a new official partnership with the SPL.

Football League Commercial Director, Stewart Thomson, said: "During six years as our title sponsor Coca‑Cola have made an exceptional contribution to our competition. We are delighted that they have committed to continuing that successful relationship by becoming an Official Partner of The Football League."

Neil Doncaster, Chief Executive, SPL said: "I am delighted that the SPL will be working with such an iconic brand. We look forward to developing this partnership over the next three years to promote the SPL up and down the country".

  • The Football League is divided into three levels - the Championship, League 1 and League 2 - each season climaxes in May in the thrilling Play Offs at Wembley
  • There are currently 12 clubs in the Scottish Premier League. After this first phase of matches, by which time all clubs will have played 33 games, the league splits into a 'top six' and a 'bottom six'
