Let me win
A video celebrating 12 of the inspirational athletes taking part in the Special Olympics GB National Summer Games in August 2013
Coca‑Cola has supported Special Olympics in Great Britain since the very first event in 1978.
Together, we’re helping more than 8,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities to get active, have fun and make friends through sport. Our special partnership supports the next generation of athletes and delivers a legacy of sports participation, 365 days a year.
The Coca‑Cola Foundation is also supporting the National Summer Games this year.
This video features 12 of the 1,700 athletes competing in the 2013 Special Olympics GB National Summer Games in Bath. The athletes quote lines from a poem based on the official Special Olympics oath:
" Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt."
The footage was filmed in the run-up to the Games at a photo shoot capturing iconic portraits of the athletes, including some for a Special Olympics GB feature in The Times.
